I'm starting a Comic and Animated review blog. As I'm beginning to get into a lot of comics, and watching many of the animated series produced by DC and Marvel, a blog reviewing those to help me get back into writing seemed the appropriate channel to follow. I will start posting later this evening on the comics I've already read. And every 4 comic reviews I'll post an animated review.
I'm a fresh to comics reader. so when I saw the resets of the continuity happening on dc and marvel comics I knew it was my chance to dive into comics. I don't know much of the old continuity beyond the big infamous story lines of the dc universe from 2005-2011. So I'll be reviewing based off of only the new continuity. I will be reviewing per volume rather than single issue, just to have a full story to review off of rather than a chapter at a time. I will post links to the volumes per the dc website as well for reference purposes. And crossovers will be done as a whole rather than the individual. I.E Hawkman: Wanted(DC new 52) includes The Savage Hawkman, Green Arrow and Deathstroke, so rather than cover each volume separately, it will be a conjoined post covering the crossover, with each of the separate volumes getting their own separate review at a later time.
At the current time I have read more DC than Marvel, so I will be starting with DC and slowly incorporating Marvel as I go, but I've always preferred DC to Marvel, so my blog will lean more towards DC for reviews
I do know a lot of the timverse DC continuity as I started off with Batman: TAS, so with those I will be posting based off of full continuity. I will cover Justice League tas both the original seven and unlimited, young justice and go from there. as for Marvel animated I know less of so I will probably try to stay current with that, maybe go back as far as 2010 and see what I can find and start there. I will attempt to post about 3 times a week depending on how often I get a chance to read comic/watch shows.
